Despite the name, Vanilla Voltage reads less like a classic vanilla than a sweet, fizzy one. Voluspa lists sparkling citrus, jasmine petals, whipped coconut milk and "candy clouds," Nordstrom's description adds vanilla bean and white cacao, and the brand's own phrase for the effect is sweet distortion. Picture a vanilla soda more than a bourbon vanilla.
It's the gourmand in the limited Voluspa x Fender trio, in the same guitar-string glass as Strawberry Rush, and a couple of launch commenters, musicians among them, want one sitting next to their guitar. Nobody burning it at home has said much yet, so it works best as a gift for a player or a cautious first sniff: the boxed candle is $52 for about 55 hours, and a $24 mini exists for testing. If you want Voluspa's warmer, more grown-up vanilla, Bourbon Vanille is the long-running pick.
